Additional Centennial Poles Planned

Stone County continues its Centennial Celebration and the Mississippi Bicentennial by adding four more sets of Garden poles to honor our culture, heritage and the arts! In addition to the Centennial poles in place at Jack’s Hardware, the Bank of Wiggins, and the Stone County Enterprise, additional poles will be added for the Stone County Economic Development Partnership, the Stone County Arts Council, Stone County Libraries and Mississippi Bicentennial Poles at the Stone County Centennial Mural. Partnerships include the Stone County Arts Council, Bank of Wiggins and the Friends of Stone County Libraries. These additional poles are “an official bicentennial project made possible by a grant from the Mississippi Humanities Council, through support from the Mississippi Development Authority.”
