Author Louise Borden Visits Stone County Schools

Children’s author Louise Borden recently visited Stone County schools and the after-school program. Using books donated by Wynn and Carolyn Alexander, this project was an official Bicentennial program supported by a grant from the Mississippi Humanities Council and the Mississippi Development Authority.

Thank You Wynn and Carolyn Alexander!

Wynn and Carolyn Alexander donated $500 to the Friends of Stone County Libraries to purchase books for Award Winning Louise Borden’s visit. Each classroom teacher attending the presentations and each public and school library in Stone County will receive a book. This donation will be used to help match the Bicentennial Grant received from the Mississippi Humanities Council and the Mississippi Development Authority.
